I can’t believe one of my favorite months of the year is almost over. As much as I love summer, I do appreciate and can’t wait for fall to roll around. This excitement usually starts right after Labor Day is over. This September surely flew on by as excepted. With our wedding and two week honeymoon in Italy, we were quite the busy bees. More on that later…It was a whirlwind but truly a dream come true. I can’t wait to show you pictures of our wedding!

Now that we are back from Italy, we will definitely have more time on our hands to enjoy all the fall things. I can’t wait to taste test fall beers (I am obsessed with pumpkin!), watch college football, go on crisp walks amongst the fall foliage, bake pumpkin recipes galore, sip on yummy festive lattes, and of course embrace the fashion. We shot these pictures back in early August and I hadn’t gotten around to posting these pictures. I adore this dress that I found at Zara when in NYC earlier this summer. The image online doesn’t do it justice. It truly looks like the prettiest watercolor painting and I love how the fluttery sleeves are a little different than most the dresses I own. This dress is great for this time of year with moderate temps but would look great with a jacket and boots for chillier temps.

Have a great day friends!

Hi guys! It has been pretty silent here these days (my apologizes) but we have been busy getting all things in order for our wedding coming up NEXT weekend (!!!). I seriously can’t believe it is almost here. We have been talking about and planning this day for the past year and a half. We are very excited to take this huge next step of our lives with all our loved ones. I can’t wait to share everything with you all soon!

So, this outfit. I wore this snazzy jumpsuit at my bridal shower two weekends ago. I knew I wanted to wear a white jumpsuit and it was seriously hard to find something this simple on the internet (there are a lot revealing white jumpsuits out there people). I finally stumbled upon this jumpsuit at The Reformation and after much debate, I snagged her. The material is nice and lightweight for summer (it is linen, if you couldn’t tell already) and it is super comfortable! I love jumpsuits like these because I look put together and feel oh so cozy!

PS: today marks Tweed and Lace’s one year anniversary! It has been super fun to embark upon this blog journey with you all and I hope to see it grow in years to come. Thanks for following along!!!

After a weekend of weather in the high 90’s, September and October can’t come soon enough. I am getting pretty darn excited for fall. It is my favorite season for fashion and the weather is typically amazing here in DC with moderate temperatures and gorgeous trees. I am drawn to fall floral prints this year in dresses and skirts. They are the perfect transition piece to wear now and layer up later. It is also my excuse to keep wearing fun dresses until it gets too cold for me come November.

Mustard yellow and rusty orange are two new to me colors that I have also been coveting lately for fall. I don’t own much in either color but I am hoping to pick up a dress that I can wear with all my dark brown accessories and jackets. As long as the weather allows for it, I am still digging the off the shoulder trend for fall except in longer sleeves.

As far as beauty in concerned, I am looking to make a few small tweaks to my makeup routine. A brownish red lipstick is on my wishlist paired with a very berry blush to add a pop of color to my face.

What are you most looking forward to wearing for fall?
