After a weekend of weather in the high 90’s, September and October can’t come soon enough. I am getting pretty darn excited for fall. It is my favorite season for fashion and the weather is typically amazing here in DC with moderate temperatures and gorgeous trees. I am drawn to fall floral prints this year in dresses and skirts. They are the perfect transition piece to wear now and layer up later. It is also my excuse to keep wearing fun dresses until it gets too cold for me come November.

Mustard yellow and rusty orange are two new to me colors that I have also been coveting lately for fall. I don’t own much in either color but I am hoping to pick up a dress that I can wear with all my dark brown accessories and jackets. As long as the weather allows for it, I am still digging the off the shoulder trend for fall except in longer sleeves.

As far as beauty in concerned, I am looking to make a few small tweaks to my makeup routine. A brownish red lipstick is on my wishlist paired with a very berry blush to add a pop of color to my face.

What are you most looking forward to wearing for fall?

Hello! How was your weekend? As I mentioned on Friday, Brett and I stayed in town this weekend to catch up on our wedding to-do list. It is crazy to think that we only have 3 weekends to wrap everything up before labor day weekend and then our wedding. It is starting to feel very real!! It is exciting but I am starting to feel a little bit of the stress. Mostly about last minute expenses and making sure everything is in order with all our vendors.

Summer color trends will come and go each year but the one color that will always be a summer staple is coral. This perfect blend of pink and red is a universally flattering color on every skin tone and makes any tan pop. I actually stole this dress from my sister in my earlier college years but I hadn’t started wearing it until recently. I love the flattering neckline and the way the fabric at the bottom twirls when I walk. It is a super fun and flirty dress for Friday night cocktails with my fiancé.

Do you love coral for summer or have any go-to colors this time of year?

Happy Weekend!

Happy WEEKEND! So sorry for the the silence these past couple weeks. July was a crazy month full of wedding stuff and fitting in a few short and sweet weekend trips. We have been so busy that I haven’t had a moment to think about new posts let alone put one together. Yikes! We will be in town the next few weekends with plenty of time to shoot pictures. I am also going to round up some highlights of my summer thus far and start to talk fall trends I am excited for.

Enjoy your weekend friends!
