Good morning! I never used to consider myself a morning person but ever since entering the working world I’ve learned to really enjoy my morning routine. My routine is nothing out of the ordinary but it’s the little things that set the tone and get me prepped to take on the day. Whether you’re a morning person or not everyone should take the time to start the day on the right foot. Here are a few ideas on how to do so:
#1 Always Wear a Comfy PJ Set, Pair of Slippers, and a Fuzzy Robe: This is something I swear by. Do yourself a favor and buy a comfy pj set or two. I can’t believe it took me so long to get a really nice pair of pajamas. This pair was my first really good set of pajamas. I wear them all the time so when this lower priced similar set went on sale during Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, I knew I had to snatch up a set or two. They are just as comfy! I’ve also heard really great things about this pajama brand.
#2 Leave Enough Time to Slowly Ease into the Morning: I never have a great day when I’m rushing out the door in the morning. I always try to leave 30 minutes of quiet time to myself to eat breakfast and to either catch up on my favorite blogs or write up my own blog posts. I even shower at night so I can fully embrace the morning as I hate spending too much time getting ready.
#3 Make Your Favorite Breakfast and Cup of Coffee in a Pretty Mug: Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. It’s crazy to me when I hear people skip breakfast. I always have my favorite bagel ready to go in the morning. If I’m without it, I can get pretty crabby so I always make sure we are fully stocked. Be sure to get your breakfast fix the AM with your favorite cup of coffee.
#4 Go for a Walk: I’ve never been good at working out in the morning because I need more time to wake up! However my new favorite thing to do is take Sadie for a mile walk in the morning. Sometimes it’s hard to get her going but once she’s on a roll we both enjoy the exercise. I also love walking through the relatively empty sidewalks of our town before the bustling streets start up again.
#5 Play a Happy Playlist: When I have a great tune going it makes be instantly happy. I love escaping in good song that calms me down.
