I’m starting to get pretty excited that Thanksgiving is next week! I can never fast forward to Christmas, I always like to enjoy the time around Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is starting to becoming my favorite holiday. I think it’s because I love how it falls on a 4 day weekend and it involves nothing but good food and family. I cherish time spent with family so much more as I get older.
I took a poll on my Instagram last week asking you guys if you get dressed up or dressed down for Thanksgiving. The results leaned a tad more toward the dressier side but it was a close 50/50 split. I decided to mirror both dressy with casual by pairing a simple sweater with a pretty midi skirt. The sweater makes this overall look feel more comfortable but not super fancy and the skirt adds an element that makes you look more dressed up for the occasion. The best part about this skirt is the the elastic waist – perfect for managing those second dishes or big pieces of pie 🙂 I love that a good skirt can be worn multiple different ways – with sweaters, blouses, cardigans, moto jackets, and blazers. I also love that you can wear this skirt with multiple different shoes from the knee high boots I’m wearing to pumps. All in all this look is so comfortable but elevated at the same time.
What will you be wearing for Thanksgiving?
