Happy Friday! This week was a crummy weather week – SO much rain! Regardless it made me want to bundle up and gorge on comfort food. Fall is that time of year I get excited about all the things – fashion, beauty, and food! Usually I’m in the baking mood but lately I’ve been all about cooking cozy meals that include hot meat and potatoes. Don’t you get excited to do this too? I love it. The weekend is typically the time I get to try out new recipes. I have been bookmarking a few good ones that I think you will enjoy too. Which one of these catches your eye?
Julia Child’s Beef Bourguignon – I made this earlier in the week and we both loved it! You will need to have a little patience with it because like slow cooking anything, it takes time. It was delicious on top of a bed of mashed potatoes.
Coq a Vin (chicken stew in red wine)
Magret de Canard (duck with honey, orange, and thyme)
Toulouse-Style Coussoulet (slow cooked casserole with pork and duck)
