This was probably my favorite day in France. We took the bus up to St. Paul de Vence on our third day – it was about an hour bus ride but it was totally worth it to see this incredible perched village. I was immediately in awe from the moment we stepped off the bus. From the medieval architecture to the stunningly beautiful flowers that painted the town was something worth writing home about. I felt like we stepped into a fairytale storybook. It was so cool to just wander around the town exploring unique streets, art shops, and cafes. It is a bloggers dream to snap photos all around the area.
We enjoyed a very yummy lunch outside at a restaurant called Le Tilleul. It was the ideal setting to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. I remember sitting down at our table and looking at my husband thinking/wishing I could stop time. It was one of those moments that made we feel so happy to be in the moment. The people there were so friendly too. We sat next to an older french woman pleasantly enjoying her lunch by herself and chatting to us what she ate and wishing us well as she finished her meal and left. I guess it was one of those “you had to be there” moments but it was a moment I hope I never forget.
Perhaps the most appealing aspect to this visit and this town was the slower pace. Prior to our trip I had researched about the little towns that exist all over the Provence region. There are SO many villages to see around the south of France – each with their own unique charm or “thing” about them. It is a warm, quiet, and beautiful place to escape to in the summertime. Somewhere you can leave all your troubles behind. I am a hardcore beachgoer but I could totally see myself renting a villa in the south of France to enjoy the little things in life like a glass of wine and the people I get to share it with. It was a nice change of pace than what I am used to here in America. I can only hope we have the chance to come back here and spend a little more time exploring!
The dress I wore from the brand Deon was the perfect dress to wear on this day. The brand has been on my radar for a while now since seeing a few other bloggers wear the clothes. The prints of all the dresses and blouses are so pretty and very bohemian. The specific dress I wore is sold out but this dress is basically the same dress! I love the pretty maroon print and how fitting it is for fall. It would be great layered with a jacket and bootie for colder temperatures.
