It’s about that time of year where we all want spring to come but unfortunately it will be winter for a few more weeks until April. It’s the harsh reality! It can be hard at times to come up with ideas for the blog when it’s still too cold to shoot warmer spring outfits outside. I always get into a little creative rut around this time but lately I’ve been browsing through a few of my favorite influencers and Pinterest to amp up my creative juices with fresh inspiration.
If you haven’t noticed I’ve been inspired to start creating different content that is more lifestyle and even content that doesn’t involve outfits. The little details from our home, a new recipe, a new bouquet of flowers, etc. To be honest I don’t like to be in front of the camera a lot even though those shots are what perform best…I’m in the mood to mix it up here and there.
I’m currently really into very chic detailed shots taken place indoors. There are a few bloggers that do this so well and I’ve definitely been inspired by them. My go-to sources are Ashley, Alicia, and Ali’s blogs. They do such a good job of capturing little moments that feel more “real and genuine” than street style to me. I relate to this sort of content a lot more these days.
When I think of my day to day life and how I spend the majority of my time in the winter it’s most definitely in my house – cozying up with a cup of coffee on my couch, cuddling with our pup Sadie, or whipping up a good meal in the kitchen wine in hand and my favorite tunes in the background. I’ve come to love that part of life at the moment and I want my pictures to reflect what makes me happy.
