Happy Weekend! It is finally starting to feel like spring around here! Makes me happy. Even if it isn’t starting to feel like spring where you are there are still little things you can do to get in the mood – like whipping up a spring-y cocktail. I am pretty simple when it comes to cocktails. I usually stick to wine and beer most of the time but in the off chance I’m in the mood for a cocktail I still like to make it simple yet refreshing.
Elderflower liqueur is one of my favorite ingredients to add to my cocktails. It was first introduced to me many years ago when I had it in a white peach martini and I was hooked! It isn’t an overwhelming flavor but it has subtle floral notes and the best part is how it compliments fruity juices. I even made it a part of my signature cocktail for our wedding (see first cocktail recipe on my list below).
St Germain is probably the most well-known and definitely my favorite but I recently picked up a less expensive version called St. Elder and I’m a fan of that one too! Anyway if you’re up for a refreshing and spring-like drink this weekend check out a few great recipes below. Have a great weekend!
Elderflower White Cosmopolitan (the signature cocktail I had for me wedding!)
Elderflower Champagne Cocktail with Lemon (pictured above – a great option for a brunch!)
Blackberry Peach Elderflower Cocktail (we made these when we were in Charleston last fall – so yummy!)
The Spring Buzz (chamomile tea, honey, elderflower, and whiskey)
