I last talked about my skin care routine here, which was more focused on post-summer rejuvenation. After summer is over, my skin usually is in desperate need of a re-haul. Now that we have been in fall-mode for a while now and despite the weather being pretty tame this year, I had noticed some changes happening to my skin and I knew I needed to make some tweaks to my daily routine.
It was in November where I noticed my skin was getting a little drier, bumpier, and was even starting to break in certain areas. I have been a huge fan of Darphin ever since being introduced to the brand last year. Most of the products I have tried from Darphin have done wonders to my skin and every product smells amazing! Their newest line, Exquisage which came out last Spring, is great for smoothing out and firming the skin while adding a radiant glow. I use the serum and cream every morning. I immediately saw results where my skin was super smooth and incredibly soft. I had also been switching back to using Fresh’s Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate for my under eyes since it is a cooling formula that does a great job of firming and generally making eyes look less tired! At night, I have been using Darphin’s Ideal Resource Serum which is great for smoothing fine lines and correcting early signs of aging over time. I then put on Darphin’s Ideal Resource Light-Rebirth Overnight Cream on top of my serum which works overnight to give you an illuminating and refreshing glow when you wake up.
It is really important to take notice on how your skin is adjusting to the weather. In the mid-atlantic, we experience 4 full seasons of unpredictable weather and with that my skin is constantly forced to readjust. I even treat my skin to a mask once or twice a week depending in whether I feel I need a little something extra. I know the extreme cold is just around the corner and will most likely need to start using heavier creams and gentle serums to combat redness.
