Hi there! How was your weekend? We got back from a fun weekend in Charleston, SC last night – it was hard to leave! It was nice to see a little beach and enjoy some awesome food with family + friends! We will heading back for Thanksgiving so I am glad we get to look forward to that.
Another day, another Paris post..This will be my second to last post from Paris (last one on Wednesday!). The weather on our second to last day was a lot more promising than our first full day (as I blogged about here) so we were able to knock out a lot of things. We started the day at the Louvre. We sort of quickly breezed through this massive museum – catching the highlights like the Mona Lisa of course. To be honest I was pretty pooped from museums at this point from the trip so we only spent about an hour and a half there.
After leaving the museum I had been dying to have a crepe so we headed back to one of our favorite neighborhoods (St. Germain) and enjoyed lunch at Little Breizh. I ordered the Teddy Breizh which was a chocolate/caramel filled crepe topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and marshmallow teddy bears on top. It was SO good and satisfied my crepe craving!
Next we walked off our lunch and headed to the Luxembourg Gardens to walk around the beautiful gardens and grounds. It is a short walk from St. Germain so it is worth checking out if you can. Next, we made our way to see Notre Dame Cathedral and happened to walk in while a real mass was going on. It was a special experience to actually see a mass in the pretty cathedral.
After checking off Notre Dame, we made our way to check out Le Marais – a neighborhood I had heard great things. We spent about an hour walking around mostly window shopping all the unique boutiques and observing more cute Parisian cafes. To me it is a more “hip” part of town that is filled with less of that tourist feel. The next time we find ourselves in Paris I would definitely make a point to spend more time in this quaint area!
This was the perfect outfit to wear during a chilly Paris. I am sure you have been seeing some version of this blazer on many bloggers – the plaid over-sized blazer is a huge trend right now! The one I am wearing is out of stock but there are so many extremely similar versions. Shop them below!
