I have been meaning to do this post for a while now and since forgetting my makeup bag this past weekend at the beach, I realized how attached I am to my beauty products so this post was in order! I use makeup everyday before work and I need the best products that are easy to use and super effective in their payoff. I try to keep my look pretty natural and these products are perfect for every day. Here are the beauty products I swear by and why:
Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Alaska: I have tried multiple tinted moisturizers and I keep coming back to this one over and over. It is a hydrating formula that looks the most natural on my skin tone. It doesn’t really look like I have makeup on and it gives my skin a hint of radiance.
Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift in Shade 1: If I could convert you to at least one of the products on my list, it would be this one. Oddly enough, I am sort of a concealer addict and have searched everywhere for the perfect one. This one is it. Not only does this conceal darkness under the eye but it brightens and lifts the whole face without making you look you have raccoon eyes.
Trish McEvoy Eye Base Essentials in Bare: I never believed in an eye primer until I was introduced to this product. As much as I need an under eye concealer, I also need a cover up for my upper eyelid. It is great at evening out any uneven color and is a great base for layering eyeshadow.
Trish McEvoy Weekend Bronzer: Having lighter skin, I always need to add a little warmth to my face. This color just works for me because it has a little pink/red in it so it adds a hint of healthy color to my skin.
Trish McEvoy Blush in Peony: I usually wear light blushes during the winter since my skin is pretty fair but when I get more color in the summer I need a blush with more substance. I love a bright pink blush to bring out the color in my face. Looking at how bright the color is can be intimidating but it looks amazing when applied to the skin on top of bronzer.
Trish McEvoy Translucent Setting Powder: Setting my makeup was never something I would think twice about but now it is the most important step in my routine. The powder is magical in that it blends all the other colors previously applied to the face (i.e. foundation, bronzer, blush) and gives the skin a flawless finish. I’m addicted.
Laura Mercier Sightline Cake Eyeliner: If you have blonde eyelashes like mine, you need an liner at your lash line to prevent your lashes from look disjointed when applying mascara later. For years, I used a pencil that would get in my waterline and basically create a mess. I am so happy I found this product. All you need is a flat eyeliner brush (I use this one) and a little water but it makes it super easy to paint on a thin line at the lashes. Not to mention it has an immediate eye opening effect with such a simple application.
Trish McEvoy Lash Enhancing Liquid Liner Pen: I have been using a liquid liner pen of some sort for years and I love how easy it is to draw a line on the lower lash line without having to go back to fill in mistakes or gaps. The tip is large and stiff so it is pretty which makes it quick and easy to draw with while making the eye look immediately enhanced.
Trish McEvoy Eyeliner Pencil with Sharpener: Yes, a third eyeliner! The lower lash line requires a different pencil in my opinion. I only draw a small line in the lower outside corners but it requires a less intense pencil that can draw a soft line. This one doesn’t smudge at all during the day so it is a winner in my book.
Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Classic Mascara: I’d say most people are pretty obsessed with mascara since eyelashes are a key feature to highlight. If you are looking for a classic look with extra length and oomph, you will love this mascara. A classic that I have re-bought many times.
