Aloha! I am sad to say we made it back to reality last night but I still have plenty of photos to share of our trip to Maui! To say we loved Maui would be an understatement. After I visit a new place, I often times find myself yearning to plan another trip to somewhere completely different – but not with Maui. When we were in the airport getting ready to take the red-eye on Saturday night, I found myself dreaming about when we will be back (like, next year??). I even woke up this morning missing it. Missing the birds chirping outside of our window every morning, relaxing days spent at the pool or beach, and that feeling of excitement to start the day in such a gorgeous place. It was/is a dream vacation and I am so lucky to have been able to go there!
There are a series of posts I have planned including outfits, our favorite excursions, and an itinerary that I would definitely recommend. We did A LOT in Maui so hopefully it will be helpful when you plan your trip there next! There will also be places we’d skip next time around so I’ll be sure to include those too.
These pics were taken on our 2nd full day there. We spent the morning hiking Le Perouse Bay (more on that on Wednesday) and later checking out Big Beach which I would highly recommend venturing off to if you find yourself in Wailea. They have food trucks in and around the parking lot and on the outskirts of the park entrance which makes it super convenient if you’re hungry! We got some fish tacos and shaved ice (yum!) After we got our beach fix we headed back to the pool and later got ready for happy hour at our hotel’s restaurant: Humble Kitchen. We loved it because we could pretty much make a meal out of their happy hour specials. We both loved the ribs and brussels sprouts…plus their craft cocktails were great! It was also the night of the most incredible sunset on our visit. The sky lit up in bright pinks and purples. It was so incredible that I rushed outside of the restaurant to snap some pics from my phone.
So, back to this outfit! Packing for a tropical vacation is always enough to get me excited. I’m never one to play with too much color until I head to the beach. I fell in love with this top from Madewell when I saw the print in their Spring 2018 presentation last year. I love that it’s slightly faded so it looks more vintage and not too bright. It will be such a cute top to wear with any denim pants, shorts, and skirts for summer. I also pulled out these Everlane pants that I bought last year. You NEED to get these pants. I love how comfortable and flattering they are. They come in a few different colors and I think I need the green or blue ones. Also these shoes, this bag, and these sunglasses got a ton of wear on our trip as well so would highly recommend any of them.
